Washi Aikido Federation

The Washi Aikido Federation was officially formed in August 1986, with Roger Tabberer as the Principal Coach. (Washi is the Japanese word for eagle.) In the September of 1987, Roger Tabberer spent five weeks with Saito Sensei, in Iwama (Japan). During this time his whole approach to Aikido changed, to the extent whereby Iwama style Aikido became the backbone of Washi teaching.
