Justice for Shooters (JFS)
Justice for Shooters is committed to righting the wrong done to everyone
who has been affected by the 1997 and 1988 Firearms Acts. Importantly, this legal action
also helps to protect other groups from injustice.
If you've ever shot a sporting gun (airgun,
shotgun or rifle) this affects you and your rights to continue with your chosen sport,
free from interference - as all responsible citizens should be.
Justice for Shooters are relentlessly
pursuing this human rights injustice through the European Courts but, ultimately, we must
have support to succeed.

International Paralympic Committee - Shooting
Ready...Aim...Fire!....The
shooting competition is divided into rifle and pistol events, air and .22 calibre.
The rules governing the competitions for the disabled are those of the International
Shooting Committee for the Disabled. These rules take into account the differences that
exist between shooting for the able-bodied and shooting for persons with a
disability. Shooting utilizes a functional classification system which enables
athletes from different disability classes with the same abilites to compete together;
either individually or in teams.
Men's,
women's and mixed shooting competitions have been part of the Paralympic program
since the 1980 Games in Arnhem. In the Barcelona'92 Games, 129 shooters (98 men and 31
women) representing 26 delegations took part in the competitions.
